My name is Curran Muhlberger, and I am a software engineer at SpaceX.
Until recently, I conducted research in the field of numerical relativity, simulating the interactions of black holes and neutron stars. Prior to that I attended the University of Maryland, College Park, receiving degrees in physics, mathematics, and astronomy.
My technical interests include software architecture, high-performance computing, Bayesian inference, signal processing (particularly for audio and images), cryptography & security, web design, and numerical solutions to partial differential equations. I especially enjoy using related techniques to solve problems in aerospace and physical science, as well as bringing them to disciplines where they have not been applied before.
Away from the lab I take pleasure in photography, hiking, and listening to music.
Coming soon! In the meantime, you may read more about me at my old Records page. And if you’re a potential employer, feel free to glance at my résumé (especially if you have something to offer in Ithaca, NY).
If you would like to get in touch with me, send an e-mail to curran@muhlbergerweb.com.
